Saturday Matthew and I went to the Aviation Museum with the Scouts. It was a long, productive day, but when it was over, he earned his first Merit Badge with the Scouts. Not sure when he actually receives the badge, but I do know that he worked extremely hard to earn it, I am very proud of him!

WE ARE DONE....
We have finished our first stained glass, notice I said FIRST. Hopefully they will be hung in the windows next week. We have been on a debate on what our next projects will be. Rusty has decided to go with grapes and wine (go figure), he is going to inbed them into a piece of wood and turn it into a door for a wine cabinet. As for me, not too sure yet, have a couple thoughts rolling around in my head, they have a beautiful hulu girl (just her head) in the shop, but not sure. Then I have thought about making a stained glass lantern that will slide into a wood base, also wanted to do a gift for my Mom, but again, it is hard not being on the mainland, and this is something that will break if mailed. But will figure it out. Hope you enjoy the pics, they are beautiful and I think we did a great job, I know I am very pleased with how mine turned out.

Theresa's Visit
Well, Theresa has come and gone..... It was an enjoyable visit, though it was too short. We remained busy the whole week, seemed like we had no time to breath. She got a chance to eat great food, Hawaii has great food. Went to a few different beaches, the pineapple factory, swap meet (never enough money for that one), snorkeling (which she didn't seem to really like), and of course, the luau (which was the highlight of the week).
The weather wasn't as nice as we had hoped it would be, guess the 'rainy season' lasts longer than we were told. But she enjoyed the breeze and warmth, at least warmer than Franklin, VA. She didn't have a great beginning or ending, will never fly with Continental again, a day late coming and then a canceled flight going home. Wasn't too happy. She got home safe though and we are all back to our lives. Theresa, we love you and thanks for coming.
